Tips to help keep your hair healthy and beautiful between salon visits.

When parting natural or curly hair into sections, use a leave-in conditioner to help the comb slide more easily through the hair and prevent snagging or pulling.  First part the hair with your fingers—second, spray the leave-in conditioner directly onto the area where you want to slide the comb—third, use the end of a rat tail comb to smoothly part the hair.  Great for preventing breakage and discomfort.

If you encounter a tangle or matted area while combing your hair, stop combing, and immediately apply a creamy conditioner to the area.  Finger massage the conditioner directly into the tangle and gently and slowly separate the hairs until the tangle is removed.  Apply more conditioner if needed for stubborn knots.  Once you can run your fingers smoothly through your hair, you can resume combing.

If you do not want to wrap your hair at night with a scarf, a satin pillowcase is the healthiest choice for your hair while you sleep.  The smooth satin won’t snag your hair, and it will also help your hair retain moisture.  As an added bonus, a satin pillowcase is also healthier for your face because it helps the skin retain moisture as well and reduces facial creasing.
